I am now a certified Horticulturist

I'm so happy at the moment that I've finally got my Cert. 2 qualification certificate at being a Horticulturist.
After around a year of study and a pain in the ass of time doing assessments I feel so good at completing it.
You know Horticulture is quite hard to learn, to know the procedures and knowledge to pass it. You actually have to know a lot to be competent.
Well here is some stuff I had to learn to be complement in horticulture: biology, botany, entomology, chemistry, mathematics, genetics, physiology, statistics, computer science, and communications, garden design, planting design. Plant science and horticulture courses also included: plant materials, plant propagation, tissue culture, plant breeding, pollination management, plant pathology, economics, and business.
Horticulture is practiced in many gardens, like nurseries and botanical gardens. I worked in some from time to time as work placement.
Some of you might think. “What the hell is Horticulture”? And wouldn’t have a clue what it is? And I’d say it’s all around you and I find it very interesting.
I hope in the near future I’ll have a job in this industry because I enjoy it and love working in it.
This year I’m continuing my study in a Cert 3 course in Conservation & Land Management, and probably next year get a good job.
I’m glad I didn’t go to college when that came around. It would have just wasted my time. And now look at me I’m ahead at getting a great career in a job I love and not going through college with at the end of it with no experience of what I really need or Qualification. Just that college degree which would of meant nothing to getting a job/ career.
